About Fatih Uysal

FATIH UYSAL (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in İskenderun, Hatay, Turkey, in 1988. He received his B.Sc. degree from Kırıkkale Univer-
sity in 2010, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Gazi University in 2017 and 2022, respectively, all in electrical and electronics engineer-
ing. He has been serving as an Associate Professor at Burdur Mehmet Akif University since 2026.

He has authored or coauthored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles on artificial intelligence published in Q1/Q2 journals indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). His research interests include artificial intelligence, biomedical, deep learning, and image processing. Dr. Uysal is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), the
IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), and the IEEE Computer Society (CS). He is also a member of the International Neural Network Society (INNS), including its Artificial Intelligence for Neural Engineering (AINE) Section, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Physics (IOP).He has been serving as a Chair of IEEE Young Professionals Turkiye and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Turkiye Chapter since 2026.

He serves as an Associate Editorial Board Member of Current Bioinformatics (SCIE Q2), Current Medical Imaging (SCIE Q4), and The Open Neuroimaging Journal (Scopus); and as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (SCIE Q1) and PLOS ONE (SCIE Q2). He is also on the editorial board of Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology (Scopus) and serves as a Consulting Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing (ESCI Q2). He has handled over 100 manuscripts as an academic editor for SCIE Q1 journals.

He is an active technical committee member at several conferences, including the IEEE Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), the IEEE International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE), the IEEE Medical Technologies National Conference (TIPTEKNO), the IEEE International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO), the IEEE Innovations in Intelligent Systems and Applications Conference (ASYU), and the 18th EAI WiCON International Conference. He has also served as a peer reviewer for over 300 manuscripts submitted to SCIE-indexed journals published by leading publishers such as BioMed Central, Elsevier, IEEE, IOPscience, MDPI, PeerJ, SAGE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Tech Science Press, and Wiley.
