About Francesco Russo

I am a passionate and creative data scientist/bioinformatician with a strong background in molecular biology and more than 10 years of experience with different data types and techniques. I worked in several labs in Italy, Switzerland, and Denmark, communicating across disciplines. I enjoy reducing complexity to simplicity, communicating my results in a clear and meaningful way. 

I have experience with omics data (metabolomics and transcriptomics), RNA and network biology, electronic health records, biomarker data. Currently, I work with pre-clinical and clinical data.

I have a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Catania and a PhD in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen.
