About Giampiero Grossi

I am an Animal Science researcher at the University of Tuscia working at the interface between livestock production, environmental sustainability, and climate change. My research focuses on assessing and improving the sustainability of ruminant systems through life cycle assessment, greenhouse gas emission modelling, and climate-resilience strategies.

I am especially interested in low-carbon livestock production, heat-stress mitigation, dairy and beef supply chains, carbon sinks, environmental labelling, and the use of digital tools to support sustainability assessment. My work aims to translate robust scientific methods into practical insights for farmers, supply chains, policymakers, and other stakeholders working toward resilient and low-emission animal production systems.
