About Hasan Saliu

 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Saliu is a renowned scholar in the field of journalism and communication in the Balkan region. With a career spanning over 25 years, he has built a prominent profile as an academic, researcher, and scientific project leader in media, public relations, and media literacy. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at the University of Tirana (1994–1998), and earned both his Master’s and PhD in the field of media and communication studies.

For a period, Saliu worked as a journalist in the Kosovar press (1997–2010), and later dedicated himself to teaching and scientific research. Since 2010, he has been teaching journalism and public relations courses at AAB College, and since 2012, he has also been lecturing at the University of Tirana, offering courses in international public relations and public diplomacy. He has been awarded the title of Associate Professor by two higher education institutions: AAB College (2022) and the University of Tirana (2023).

Prof. Saliu has made significant academic contributions to internationally recognized scientific journals, including Communication Research and PracticeCommunication & SocietyJALTCogent Arts & Humanities, among others. His research interests include media literacy, strategic communication, public diplomacy, and the transformation of media in the digital era.

He served as Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at AAB College (2011–2016 and 2021–2024), and as Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at the same institution (2016–2021 and from 2024 onward). Saliu is active in international forums as a conference organizer and keynote speaker, addressing topics such as “digital journalism transformation,” “public relations in the post-truth era,” and “international political communication.”

He has completed hundreds of peer reviews for leading scientific journals published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Emerald Group Publishing, SAGE Publishing, Cogent OA, Routledge, Cogitatio etc., making him a trusted voice in international academic evaluation. He also serves as an editorial board member and associate editor in several well-known academic journals.

With a strong dedication to media and communication studies in Kosovo and the region, Saliu remains a key contributor to advancing scholarly discourse on communication in the age of artificial intelligence and post-truth.
