Senior lecturer at the University Hospitals of the Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany. Appointed medical advisor of Thyroid UK, author of a number of books, review articles and research papers on endocrine disorders. Initiator of several open-source software libraries for systems biology and medical informatics (CyberUnits, PUMA repository etc.) and apps for simulation and diagnostic interpretation of endocrine homeostasis (SPINA Thyr, SimThyr, SimulaBeta etc.).
