· Discovery of tumor immunotherapy targets and development of immunotherapeutic agents (antibodies, peptides, oncolytic viruses, and oncolytic bacteria)
KEY RESEARCH CONTRIBUTIONS & ACHIEVEMENTS
· First in the world to propose the negative feedback theory of oncolytic virotherapy — a conceptual breakthrough in the field.
· Based on this theory, developed a series of novel oncolytic viruses; the lead candidate Valpha is currently awaiting funding for clinical trials.
· Principal Investigator of over 40 research grants, including multiple National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Programs and Jiangsu Provincial Key R&D Programs.
· Published over 80 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author in high-impact journals including Nature Communications, Cancer Communications, Cell Reports Medicine, Cell Death & Differentiation, and Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research.
· Over 2,400 citations in the past 5 years; h-index = 39.
· Multiple papers selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers.
· Supervised students to win national competition gold medals/awards for three consecutive years.
