About Kathryn Luanne Sanico
I am a registered nurse with interests in global health, evidence-based nursing, health promotion, and nursing leadership. My work focuses on translating research into practice to strengthen person-centred care, health equity, universal health coverage, and resilient health systems.
I currently serve as a Nurse Facilitator with Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Communities for Emergency Nursing, Disaster Preparedness, and Climate and Health. I am also an International Ambassador with Society of Internationally Educated Nurses in North America, representing nurses outside North America, and a Challenge Committee Member for the Nursing Now Challenge in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMRO).
I am currently undertaking an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Nursing and enjoy engaging in evidence appraisal, implementation of research into practice, and global nursing collaboration. Through this community, I look forward to sharing evidence-informed perspectives on nursing leadership, global health, workforce development, and the Global Nursing Leadership Competency Framework.
