About Kendra Thomas

Kendra Thomas, PhD., is an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Indianapolis. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Thomas moved to the United States to pursue higher education, earning her PhD in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from Ball State University. She conducts translational and applied research on child and adolescent development in Brazil through partners at the University of São Paulo, the Federal University of Paraná, and in South Africa with a non-profit, iThemba Projects. Her work is funded by the Templeton World Charity foundation. This coming fall she is moving to Hope College as an associate professor of psychology.
