About Kristian Want

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at Brandeis, working jointly within the Meisel Lab and Pandelia Lab to study the biochemistry and underlying determinants of mitochondrial diseases. Particularly, I'm interested in characterizing the  pathways and mechanisms that assemble, deliver, and regulate Fe-S clusters, alongside exploring related clinical diseases. To investigate this, I combine in vitro recombinant Fe-S biochemistry with in vivo C. elegans genetics to explore protein function and identify new therapeutic targets.
