About Kristian Want

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at Brandeis, working jointly within the Meisel Lab and Pandelia Lab to study the biochemistry and underlying determinants of mitochondrial diseases. Particularly, I'm interested in characterizing the late-acting pathways that assemble, deliver, and regulate Fe-S clusters, alongside exploring related clinical diseases. To investigate this, I combine in vitro recombinant Fe-S biochemistry with in vivo C. elegans genetics to explore protein function and identify new therapeutic targets.
