About Mohammad Ali Nasiri

Dr. Mohammad Ali Nasiri is a researcher and innovator with over five years of cleanroom experience in micro- and nanoelectronic device design and fabrication. His technical expertise includes thin-film deposition, precision electrical contacts, dry and reactive ion etching, and photolithographic mask design. He is proficient in advanced characterization methods such as AFM, XRD, XPS, SEM, FESEM, FTIR, spectroscopic ellipsometry, and electrochemical analysis, as well as thermoelectric property measurements (Seebeck coefficient, electrical and thermal conductivity).

Dr. Nasiri holds two master’s degrees (Aeronautical Engineering and Nanomaterials Science) and a PhD from the University of Valencia (ICMOL), where he developed next-generation thermoelectric materials for direct heat-to-electricity conversion. His thesis introduced four original platforms for thermal conductivity measurement and advanced sustainable energy materials, including lignin-based ionic membranes and hybrid MXene/CNT/lignin electrodes. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at ICMUV (University of Valencia), he is developing perovskite-based photodetectors for sensing and biomedical imaging, bridging fundamental materials science with applications in clean energy, electronics, and optoelectronics.
