About Monica Pandey

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where I study DNA damage response, targeted therapeutics such as antibody–drug conjugates and other precision repair modulators. My expertise spans molecular oncology, translational pharmacology, and DNA repair signaling.

Beyond the bench, I am fascinated by how scientific principles echo in human experience: how fidelity, repair, and resilience connect biology with emotion. I write to explore that intersection, hoping to make science feel a little more human and humanity a little more scientific.

Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to read. I’d love to hear what parts of this piece resonated with your own experiences in research or repair.

I also welcome reflections from scientists in other disciplines: how do you see emotional or human echos in your own field? Whether in chemistry, neuroscience, or physics, do you find moments where the mechanisms you study echo how we think or heal?

I’d love to hear your view. :)
