About Prasansah Shrestha

I am an interdisciplinary researcher working on polar microorganisms, combining bioinformatics, genomics, and molecular biology to understand microbial adaptation to environmental stress. My research focuses on understanding how extremophilic microbes adapt to environmental stress, with particular emphasis on carbohydrate metabolism and its role in cellular resilience.

I use a combination of computational and experimental approaches, including genome mining, comparative genomics, and biochemical characterisation, to study stress-responsive enzymes and metabolic pathways. I am particularly interested in integrating multi-omics data to better understand microbial adaptation in extreme environments.

My broader research interests include extremophiles, microbial metabolism, metabolic engineering, and the application of microbial systems in biotechnology, environmental sustainability, and related fields.
