About Qing-Lin Deng
I'm Qinglin Deng, Chinese, currently serves as Associate Professor at Chongqing University, China. I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in Mining Engineering from Central South University (Changsha, China). My doctoral studies were conducted at École des Mines de Paris-Université Paris Sciences et Lettres and the University of Strasbourg, France, with joint training at the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ-Potsdam). I obtained my Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Strasbourg. My research focuses on deep rock mechanics and fracture flow mechanics, addressing engineering applications such as deep geothermal extraction, shale gas development and CO₂ geological sequestration. After completing my PhD, I joined the High-Pressure Water Jet Team at Chongqing University, dedicated to extending water jet fragmentation theory and technology for hard rock to metal and non-metal mining applications.
