He received his Bachelor's degree from METU Gaziantep Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department in 1991 with his Department and Faculty degree. In the same year, he started his graduate education in METU Mechanical Engineering Department in Ankara. In March 1992, he entered academic life as a research assistant at Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department. He completed his master's degree in Gazi Mechanical Engineering Department in February 1995. He started his doctorate education in Germany Clausthal Technical University, Department of Materials Science and Engineering in 1995 with YÖK doctoral scholarship and completed it in May 1999.

He conducted research on "Investigation of Metal Powder Production Parameters with Gas Atomization" in his master's thesis and "Production, Consolidation and Investigation of PM Al-Mg-Sc Alloys" in his doctoral dissertation. His study topics are in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science / Engineering, and include Additive Manufacturing, Powder Metallurgy, Manufacturing Processes, Material Design, and Materials Behavior. He gained significant knowledge by conducting research projects in the fields of Powder Metallurgy, Additive Manufacturing, and metal powder production, especially with gas atomization and plasma atomization methods. He still provides consultancy services to industrial projects in these fields. He continues his research studies on Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing.
