About Rajal Dave (PhD Candidate)

My research background is Bacteriophage Therapy as an alternative treatment for multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacterial infections. Isolation and characterization of host-specific bacteriophages, followed by phage susceptibility testing to evaluate their therapeutic potential.

identifying bacteriophages that can selectively target pathogenic bacterial strains, including clinically significant organisms such as Klebsiella pneumoniae. Through phage susceptibility assays, I assess the effectiveness of isolated phages against antibiotic-resistant strains, enabling the identification of patients who may benefit from personalized phage therapy.

This approach provides a promising alternative to conventional antibiotics, particularly in cases where resistance limits treatment options. My research contributes to advancing precision antimicrobial therapy by matching specific bacteriophages with corresponding bacterial pathogens.
