About Rupak Thapa

I am a Post Doctoral Fellow within the Department of Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine. I completed my PhD in Molecular, Cellular, and Systemic Physiology with a focus on human endometrial stromal cell decidualization, endometriosis, and reproductive biology. My passion for research, continuous learning, and exploration drives me to investigate the role of different genes and molecular signaling in this process using various molecular techniques, such as cell culture, cell based assays, PCR, cloning, western blot, ELISA, immunofluorescence, IHC, confocal microscopy, next generation sequencing, RNA sequencing, ATAC sequencing, and shRNA lentivirus gene knockdown.

With more than 10 years of experience as a graduate teaching assistant and a visiting faculty, I have also developed strong skills in instructing, lecturing, and mentoring students in various courses related to physiology, biochemistry, and anatomy. I have presented my research articles on decidualization, depression, and RNA sequencing at prestigious conferences, such as the Society for Neuroscience and the Endocrine Society, and published them in peer-reviewed journals.

I aspire to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in molecular physiology and human health.
