About Selwin Wu

Selwin has led discoveries that challenge prevailing paradigms on how dysregulation of inflammation and physical forces drive the spread of cancer and alter tissue architecture. He has managed the development of an artificial intelligence-assisted imaging analysis pipeline to study cancer invasion.  With over 20 publications, his research includes lead and senior author articles in Nature Cell Biology, Aging Cell, Molecular Biology of the Cell, and Developmental Cell. He has also contributed to peer review for journals including Science, Nature Reviews Cancer and the Journal of Clinical Investigation.

During his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, the HHMI, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, he received a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fellow Award. Upon returning to Singapore, he was awarded a Principal Investigatorship for the National Medical Research Council's Young Individual Research Grant.

Selwin joined Springer Nature, Singapore, in September 2025, to oversee several journals in the medicine and life sciences portfolio of Discover.
