About Shady Amin

I am a microbial oceanographer and chemical ecologist. My research explores how marine microorganisms interact with one another and their chemical environment, and how these relationships shape microbial communities, ocean ecosystems, and global biogeochemical cycles. I am particularly interested in uncovering the chemical processes that connect microbial life with the functioning of our changing oceans.
