About Tahmineh Mokhtari

Tahmineh Mokhtari, Ph.D., is a biomedical scientist with PhD in Anatomical Sciences.  Currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Davis, Tahmineh’s research broadly investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms of diseases, with a focus on inflammatory pathways and the development of innovative therapeutics. Her interdisciplinary approach combines advanced methodologies, including in silico techniques (e.g., network pharmacology, molecular docking, data analysis), in vitro experiments (e.g., cell culture), and in vivo studies (e.g., animal models, behavioral assessments). Tahmineh’s work seeks to understand disease processes and translate findings into potential treatments for a range of health conditions.  As an educator, Tahmineh is dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments, integrating her cutting-edge research into teaching to foster critical thinking and inspire students.
