About Uchenna Cosmas Ugwu

Uchenna C. Ugwu is an Associate Professor at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka -UNN who has served in various academic capacities since 2010. He holds a Ph.D., M.Ed., and B.Sc. in Public Health Education, all from UNN. His research focuses on gerontology & geriatrics, epidemiology of chronic diseases, mental health, women health, diabetes survey and population studies. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals & contributed as a reviewer for several public health journals. Dr. Ugwu is actively involved in postgraduate supervision and university governance. He has received series of national and international recognition, including Best Graduate Merit Award (UNN 2007); Travel Grant Awards (ISE-Dubai, 2024, & ATTD-ASIA 2025). Dr Ugwu is a member of several professional bodies such as HEPRAN, NAHE & TRCN. He is committed to advancing public health education and mentoring next generation of health professionals globally.
