Delia VÎRGĂ is a full professor habilitated in the Department of Psychology at West University in Timişoara, and a doctor in Psychology at the "Babes-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca. She served as director of the Department of Psychology (2017-2025) and is now dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. Also, she is the coordinator of the master's program in Work, Organizational, and Transport Psychology (PMOT). She has the qualifications of a leading psychologist in the specialty of work and organizational psychology, with over 20 years of continuous organizational consulting. She was a member of the Steering Committee of the College of Psychologists in Romania, serving on the Commission for Work Psychology, Transport, and Services (2013-2023), and was president of the Association of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists in the period 2015-2017. She is also a member of the international professional associations (EAWOP, EOHP). She was a member of the Standing Committee for Work and Organizational Psychology at EFPA (2019-2025) and an EAWOP delegate in the EuroPsy Specialist European Awarding Committee in W&O psychology (S-EAC W&O) (2023-2025). Delia Virga is the author of more than 75 articles in international journals and coordinated seven research grants. Her research in organizational and occupational psychology focuses on personal resources and proactive strategies, their relationship with performance and well-being across different professional categories, and the design and implementation of interventions to improve well-being.
