About Wagner Gervazio
I am currently a researcher in the Postdoctoral Program of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FEAGRI). I recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UFSCar, in the Department of Rural Development, with support from FAPESP (2024/01). I have a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from FEAGRI/UNICAMP, with an emphasis on "Systems Management in Agriculture and Rural Development" and with a research line focused on "Socioeconomic and Environmental Studies" (2019), having been a CNPq scholarship holder. During my PhD, I also completed a sandwich period at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), in Morelia (2018). I have a Master's degree in Biodiversity and Amazonian Agroecosystems (2015) and a degree in Agronomy from UNEMAT - University of the State of Mato Grosso (2007). My experience covers several areas, including Rural Development, Communication and Rural Extension, Agroecology, Economics and Rural Administration, Participatory Research, Public Policies and Resilience of Socioecological Systems. I am from the Amazon and the son of retired family farmers.
