About Wenou Xue
Hello! I’m Wen’ou Xue, a researcher in Applied Linguistics with a focus on international higher education. My work explores the academic, sociocultural, and psychological adaptation challenges faced by international students, particularly those transitioning to English-medium instruction (EMI) programs.
I recently completed my PhD, where I examined how regional perceptions and academic hierarchies shape the recognition of overseas doctoral degrees. My research combines insights from intercultural communication, acculturation theory, and higher education studies.
I’m passionate about supporting early-career researchers and fostering inclusive academic environments. Outside research, I enjoy exploring cross-cultural education, international student mobility, and promoting fairness and equity in academia.
I look forward to connecting with fellow researchers, sharing experiences, and contributing to meaningful discussions in the community!
