A Hall island can be used as a resonator in the microwave domain. This island can be measured by adding capacitvely couplet gates to the island.

Edge MagnetoPlasmons (EMP) are excitations of edge states in the quantum Hall effect. In the context of a Hall droplet, these edge states loop onto themselves and resonate in the microwave regime. We can probe this resonance by measuring the microwave transmission of the droplet. In our recent publication we have probed these resonances by measuring the transmission across such droplet. This video presents a schematic view of the interaction between excitation and detection gates and the EMPs in a micrometric Hall island.
