Since obtaining my PhD in 2018, I have established an active and impactful research career characterised by scholarly excellence, research leadership, postgraduate supervision, and academic service. I have published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in my areas of expertise. As a Principal Investigator (PI) and collaborator on several research projects, I have developed and strengthened research partnerships with scholars and institutions across various African countries, fostering regional research collaboration and capacity building.

My scholarly contributions extend beyond journal publications and include five book chapters published in academic books. I have successfully supervised three doctoral (PhD) candidates and four Master’s students to completion, while also serving as an external examiner for Master's and Doctoral theses at several higher education institutions. My research excellence has been recognised through the successful acquisition of two research grants, which have supported innovative research initiatives and knowledge generation.

In addition to my research and supervision roles, I contribute significantly to academic citizenship and quality assurance within higher education. I serve as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Health Services Research and Health Services Insights, supporting scholarly publishing and peer-review processes. Furthermore, I am a member of the College Research Ethics Committee (CREC) and the Scientific Review Committee at the University of South Africa (UNISA), where I contribute to ensuring the ethical conduct, scientific rigour, and quality of research undertaken within the institution.

Through these achievements, I have demonstrated a sustained commitment to advancing research, mentoring emerging scholars, promoting ethical research practices, and contributing to the broader academic and scientific community both nationally and internationally.
