I stumbled across this press release from Arizona State University regarding a study published in PLoS ONE, 'To be funny or not to be funny: Gender differences in student perceptions of instructor humor in college science courses.'
While students in these classes might "appreciate humour" (who doesn't?), would this affect learning outcomes? Either positively or negatively?
