Welcome to Nature Progress Brain Health!
Published in Neuroscience, Biomedical Research, and General & Internal Medicine
We are delighted to introduce Nature Progress Brain Health, a multidisciplinary, open-access journal within the newly launched Nature Progress series. The journal is now open for submissions and welcomes high-quality, timely research that provides new insights into the rapidly evolving field of brain health.
Brain health was selected as the focus for one of the first launches of the Nature Progress journals because of its profound global importance and the fast pace of research in this field. Our scope encompasses all areas of research dedicated to uncovering the causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the brain: from mechanistic and translational studies, to therapeutics and biomarker development, clinical trials, population health and beyond. We also welcome reviews and commentary from researchers and other stakeholders to help shape policy, enrich dialogue, and broaden representation within the field.
Nature Progress is a new series of journals based around a collaborative editorial model, pairing the professional expertise of our in-house editors with the insights and community knowledge of a global external editorial board. Researchers interested in helping to shape the future of the journal are warmly invited to apply to join our editorial board by completing this form.
Nature Progress Brain Health complements the broader Nature Portfolio by upholding the same high standards of quality and author service, while applying somewhat more flexible criteria regarding impact and significance compared to other Nature-branded journals, including Nature Communications. We will work closely with our colleagues at Nature Communications and other Nature portfolio journals, co-curating cross-journal Collections to spotlight emerging themes and elevate research addressing some of the most pressing challenges in brain health.
Brain health matters to all of us. As Deputy Editor, I am especially excited about the journal’s mission to reach broad, global audiences and to amplify advances in under-represented and newly emerging areas of brain research. We encourage submissions and collaborations across disciplines and communities worldwide. Together, we aim to support and empower our authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers as they drive the growth and direction of their fields.
We invite you to help shape this new journal from the outset. Submit your work today, and join us in advancing the future of brain health research.
