About Sigit Sasmito

Sigit Sasmito is currently completing PhD at RIEL Ecosystem Function Group, Charles Darwin University and CIFOR-SWAMP. His research is focused on the understanding ecological functions of tropical wetlands particularly mangrove for climate change mitigation and sea-level rise adaptation. His current research activities are concentrated in Papua, Indonesia where is home for more than 10% of the world’s mangrove.
