About Alla Krasikova
Alla Krasikova graduated from the Department of Physics and Mechanics of Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University in 2003 with initial specialization in Biophysics. Alla received her PhD degree from the Department of Cytology and Histology at St Petersburg State University in 2007. Alla Krasikova is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biology, Saint Petersburg State University, where she heads the Laboratory of Cell Nucleus Structure and Dynamics. Her research is focused on genome architecture, structure and functions of mitotic and meiotic chromosomes, compartmentalization of the cell nucleus, formation of nuclear bodies and the role of non-coding RNAs.
