About Bart Westendorp
My primary research interest is to understand how decision-making is done in cells during normal cell division, cell stress, development, and regeneration. My team combines live cell microscopy with single cell next-generation sequencing to address this topic. Our work aims to unravel at single cell resolution how cancer cells can adapt to DNA replication stress, and how these adaptations can be linked to resistance against anti-cancer drugs.
