About Diego Moya

Diego holds a PhD from Imperial College London in the field of Energy Economics, Transition and Policy. He is currently working at Saudi Aramco as part of the Technology Outlook and Strategy team. Diego is also an academic visitor in the Energy Systems Modelling Group at Imperial College’s Sustainable Gas Institute (SGI). He is one of the founders of iiasur, the Institute for Applied Sustainability Research, a recently created research institute for sustainable development in South America. His area of research is based on geoAI, GIS, big data analytics and agent-based approaches to assess global decarbonisation pathways of the energy sector, considering the spatiotemporal dependencies and the human dimension.
