About Elena Raevskikh

I am a Russian-born French scholar and administrator based in Abu Dhabi. Since 2019, I have been managing and co-creating CultureSTATS-AD, an initiative of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, focused on developing tailored qualitative and quantitative metrics for Abu Dhabi's culture sector. This pioneering initiative is the first of its kind in the MENA region. Over the past five years, our team has published over 20 research reports and several academic articles in leading international journals. Before joining the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, I worked as a Research Fellow at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), where I oversaw a big scale international research project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR).
