About Hernan Hernandez Larzabal
My research involves healthy aging and dementia, applying data science to behavioral and brain images and signals such as EEG and fMRI. Additionally, I study the characteristics and dynamic interactions of brain states during functional resting states in the human brain, considering the relationship between anatomical connectivity and functional dynamics. I possess expertise in various programming languages, machine learning tools for data analysis, and modeling. My specialization lies in the analysis of biomedical data with a focus on neurological frameworks. I have collaborated at the Latin American Institute of Brain Health (BrainLat) at Adolfo Ibáñez University (UAI), participating in projects on neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, and others. My academic and research objectives aim to disseminate acquired scientific culture, train new professionals and researchers, and foster the creation of multidisciplinary collaboration networks to significantly impact the development and implementation of data science in the study and early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.
