Dear Editor,
I am writing to kindly inquire about the current status of our manuscript titled "Children's Post-Traumatic Reactions After the Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes: An Embedded Multiple Case Study of Parents', Teachers', and School Counselors' Perspectives" (Submission ID: 9f32eac4-fd66-4528-bdc5-24d5f2703800), which was submitted to BMC Psychology approximately one year ago.
While we understand that the peer-review process can be time-consuming, we have noticed that the status of our submission has remained unchanged for nearly a year, indicating that only one reviewer’s report has been completed.
Given the critical nature of the findings regarding children's mental health following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, we believe the timely dissemination of this research is of great importance for practitioners and researchers in the field. We are concerned that further delays may impact the practical relevance and urgency of the data presented.
If the delay is due to difficulties in securing a second reviewer, we would be more than happy to provide additional suggestions for potential reviewers who are experts in disaster psychology or child trauma.
Could you please provide us with an update on the expected timeline for a decision? We remain very interested in publishing our work in BMC Psychology and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
