About Jhommara Bautista
I am a microbiome cancer researcher focused on host–microbiome interactions in oncology, with particular interest in the cervicovaginal and gut microbiomes. My work explores how microbial communities influence tumor progression, immune regulation, metabolic remodeling, inflammation, and therapeutic response in cancer. I have experience in scientific writing, narrative reviews, multi-omics interpretation, bioinformatic analysis, and research communication. As part of the CRG at Universidad de Las Américas and PD-BMC in Universidade da Coruna, I am interested in translating complex microbiome, metabolome, and epigenome findings into rigorous, accessible scientific narratives for academic, clinical, and broader research communities.
