About Julián Salinas
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics and a Magister Scientiae in Economic Policy. My research interests span applied economics, including development economics, structural change, international economics, economic policy, and machine learning. In El Salvador, I was Deputy Minister of Economy (Foreign Trade), a lecturer, and an economic advisor to the Salvadoran Parliament. In addition, I have worked in economic policy areas, including drug price regulation and fiscal and social policy.

This study examines the midterm determinants of CIP trends across 148 economies. It reveals the dynamic factors that shape midterm structural changes, analyzes the role of predictive features in delineating CIP midterm trends, and shows how machine learning can advance social science.
