I am an Associate Professor of Physics at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP), Brazil, and coordinator of the Amazonian Laboratory for Materials Research (APMat). My research focuses on materials science, nanomaterials, green synthesis, photocatalysis, functional oxides, and the relationship between structure, defects, surfaces, and physicochemical properties. I have experience with advanced materials characterization, including X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement, Raman spectroscopy, AFM, XPS, EELS, HRTEM, SAED, optical spectroscopy, and synchrotron-based techniques such as X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XANES/EXAFS). I am particularly interested in developing sustainable materials and technologies inspired by Amazonian biodiversity, with applications in environmental remediation, catalysis, energy, and biomaterials. I also contribute to graduate education, scientific peer review, and international editorial activities in materials science and related fields.
