About Saurav Kumar

I am a geographer and mountain researcher interested in understanding how environmental change, migration, and development shape rural livelihoods in the Himalaya. My work explores climate change adaptation, traditional ecological knowledge, demographic transitions, agricultural change, and migration dynamics in mountain regions. Through interdisciplinary research and field-based studies, I seek to contribute to policies and practices that promote sustainable mountain development and community resilience. I enjoy collaborating with researchers working on climate, sustainability, rural development, and Himalayan studies.
