Mammographic Microcalcifications and Risk of Breast Cancer

Mammographic microcalcifications are small deposits of calcium in the breast that can only be seen on imaging. Mammographic microcalcifications appear as bright white on the mammogram and may reflect both benign and malignant tumors. They can also be a sign of early breast cancer.
