About Tien Van Vu
My ongoing research focuses on advancing novel plant breeding techniques (NPBTs) utilizing the CRISPR-Cas-based gene editing technique in plants. This involves pioneering strategies for precise genome engineering, such as prime editing and microhomology-mediated end-joining (MMEJ)-based gene/allele replacement. In addition, my research also focuses on harnessing the capabilities of CRISPR/Cas complexes with single and multiple geminiviral replicon systems for precision plant breeding.
