About Ugur Soytas

Ugur Soytas is the Head of the Climate Economics and Risk Management Section under the Sustainability Division of the Department of Technology, Management, and Economics at the Technical University of Denmark. He is the co-editor of Energy Economics, associate editor of Sustainable Production and Consumption, and the lead editor of the Routledge Handbook of Energy Economics for Taylor & Francis (2019). His research follows two tracks: energy-economy-environment-society nexus and energy commodity markets. He uses empirical methods and an interdisciplinary approach to investigate these issues. He has published several papers in high-impact peer-reviewed journals such as Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Ecological Economics, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Banking and Finance,  and Journal of Commodity Markets.
