Dear Authors,

Greetings from the Editorial Team.

We are pleased to invite you to submit a 400–450 word concept note for the forthcoming edited volume Quality of Life in Kashmir, which has been accepted and contracted by Springer Nature for the book series Quality of Life in Asia. This book is edited by Nassir Ul Haq Wani (PhD), Editor for Quality of Life in Kashmir in the Springer-Quality of Life in Asia Series.

The volume aims to bring together interdisciplinary research that critically examines the multiple dimensions of quality of life in Kashmir, including but not limited to health and well-being, education, livelihoods, employment, income and inequality, environment, social inclusion, governance, migration, digitalisation, culture, community well-being, and other emerging dimensions of human development and quality of life.

We welcome concept notes that are empirically grounded, theoretically informed, and methodologically rigorous, drawing on quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, comparative, or interdisciplinary approaches.

Concept Note Requirements

Please submit a 350–450 word concept note outlining:

  • Proposed chapter title
  • Research problem and rationale
  • Key objectives/research questions
  • Theoretical or conceptual perspective, where relevant
  • Proposed methodology/data sources
  • Expected contribution to the literature and understanding of quality of life in Kashmir
  • 3–5 keywords

Please note that submission of a concept note does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the volume. All submissions will undergo editorial evaluation, and selected authors will subsequently be invited to develop their contributions into full chapters in accordance with the publisher's guidelines.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and to working together on this important scholarly project.

Note: This book series is already indexed Scopus.

Please submit your concept note by [5th of September, 2026], ether as an attachment to this email or fill the form using the link as follows:
