What is this collection about?

Macrophages are a key component of the tumour microenvironment and influence tumour progression, immune-cell infiltration, and responses to immunotherapy. This cross-journal Collection from Nature Immunology, Nature Communications, Communications Biology, Communications Medicine and Scientific Reports seeks research that advances understanding of tumour-associated macrophages, including the mechanisms governing their plasticity and heterogeneity, their interactions with stromal and immune cells, the role of ontogeny in shaping their behaviour, and their impact on therapeutic approaches.
