What is this collection about? 

Macrophages are highly migratory innate immune cells with emerging roles in promoting scar-free wound healing and tissue regeneration. This cross-journal Collection invites primary research Articles to explore how macrophages respond to injury signals, communicate with progenitor cells, and support pro-regenerative microenvironments in model organisms with strong regenerative capacity. Participating journals include Nature Communications, Nature Cardiovascular Research, Communications Biology, npj Regenerative Medicine, and Scientific Reports.
