Collection Overview 

Scientific Reports has launched a Guest-Edited Collection on Magnetoacoustic interactions in spintronic systems.

Magnetoacoustic interactions in spintronic systems explore the dynamic coupling between elastic waves and spin excitations, offering new pathways for information processing and energy transduction. Progress in materials science, nanoscale fabrication, and ultrafast measurement techniques has driven rapid advances in this field.

This will be a Collection of original research papers  and will be open for submissions from all authors – on the condition that the manuscripts fall within the scope of the Collection and of Scientific Reports more generally. Narrative review articles are also welcomed, to our sister journal Scientific Reviews. We are welcoming submissions until 27th November 2026.

Why is this Collection important?

"Magnetoacoustic interactions are emerging as a powerful route to control spin dynamics through the coupling between magnetic and elastic excitations. This rapidly developing area connects magnetism, acoustics, materials science, and nanotechnology, offering new strategies for low-power information processing and advanced spintronic devices.
