Menopause is a natural part of female reproductive aging, approximately 47 million women reach it each year. Despite this, it is a condition that is still not fully understood, owing in part to female-specific conditions being overlooked during research funding allocation processes. Although there have been many advances in recent years, there is still work to be done to impact funding allocation and raise awareness. The International Menopause Society holds  World Menopause Day annually on the 18th October, aiming to shine a spotlight on challenges faced by women during this transitional period and raise awareness of developments in research and education sectors.

This blog compiles articles, chapters, open Calls for Papers, and Research Communities blogs from across Springer Nature, spanning all aspects of menopause research. This selection of content relates to the SDG goals 3 (good health and wellbeing) and 5 (gender equality).
