Supramolecular Chemistry Collection - an Update

In 2018 we first published our collection on Supramolecular Chemistry, highlighting exciting research in this field. Now, four years later, we are happy to showcase our recent research papers in this field.
Using weak and reversible forces, a tremendous variety on assemblies and materials of different complexity and serving very specialized applications can be synthesized. Clearly, the Supramolecular Chemistry became a truly interdisciplinary research field spurring developments across biology, chemistry, nanotechnology, materials science, and physics. To reflect this interdisciplinary aspect of Supramolecular Chemistry, the collection features advances in synthesis and mechanistic insights, discrete assemblies, materials and applications as well as systems chemistry
We highlight a selection of recent articles published in Nature Communications, which we hope reflect the true breadth of supramolecular chemistry as a discipline.
Johannes joined Nature Communications in September 2017 as an Associate Editor. With a PhD in materials chemistry and a background in photopolymerization, he handles manuscripts on chemical soft matter and advanced organic functional materials. Johannes is based in the London office.
