About Alyssa Budd

I am a molecular biologist and bioinformatician currently based at Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia. My work focuses on developing genomic and epigenomic models to predict lifespan, sexual maturity, and age in fish and other vertebrates. I aim to leverage existing data, as much as is practical, to deepen our understanding of how the genome and epigenome shape phenotypic outcomes. Additionally, I am interested in applying novel genomic technologies to improve natural resource management.
