About Charlotte Valerie Walshaw
Charlotte Walshaw is a PhD researcher with SENSE Earth Observation CDT at the University of Edinburgh, partnered with the British Antarctic Survey. Her research interests include mapping Antarctica's vegetation using optical satellite and UAS imagery, exploring the role of spectral reflectance variability across space and time, and remote sensing of moss ecophysiology. She has undertaken two field seasons in Antarctica, to Robert Island in the maritime Antarctic (2022/23), and to the McMurdo Dry Valleys in the continental Antarctic (2023/24).
