Emad Moeendarbary is a Professor of Cell Mechanics & Mechanobiology at University College London, where he studies the “mechanics of life” i.e., how cells sense and respond to physical forces. His work combines engineering and biology to uncover how tissue mechanics shapes processes such as myelination and vascularisation, using advanced microfabrication and organ-on-chip technologies.
